The SEATYZEN project, is structured as a Cloud-based platform and marketplace with the implementation of automation for verifying the identity of its trainees (KYS: Know Your Seafarer), and thus the people who want to embark.
SEATYZEN aims to be a showcase or a training center collector, but also – and more importantly – a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that allows all course providers to be present in a single marketplace, letting them benefit from all the technology implemented to manage access procedures, documentation and course delivery.
Not to mention, of course, that SEATYZEN is also a service designed to streamline the accreditation processes of end users who need courses and certifications before embarking.
Access to the technology made available will save on the costs of access to the technology made available will save on the costs of developing and maintaining proprietary software, upgrades, and database management.
Benefit training centers with fewer funds that can thus keep up with the market, but it is also a benefit to larger METIs that can speed up their activities and alleviate extra costs.
No hidden fees. Pay a small percentage for only the courses you need.
Saving considerable time and money for the internal management of METIs.
Costs for marketing activities will be greatly reduced.
Documentation and certificate management will take place through the platform.
Payment processing technology will be automated to facilitate transactions. Implementation of the KYS system will allow automatic verification of user identity.
The KYS (Know Your Seafarer) is an adaptation of the already well-known KYC (Know Your Customer) in this case optimized for the purpose of navigation. This identification method is already present in many platforms whose use, subject to certain regulations, involves automated customer identification through documentation, photos and – sometimes – short videos.
Currently, the identification procedure is managed by in-house METIs, thus consuming resources and lengthening verification time.
The KYS is the version of digital identification designed for the maritime sector which, in addition to speeding up the verification processes, will provide access, through subsequent implementations, to databases and watchlists to assess the reliability of individuals applying for certifications to embark.
